I've asked for a usb/serial card replacement and I can loopback AND especially see the menu of my nas!
I get the list of options buf if I press Z: (firmware upgrade) it doesn't ...

Just another question. On my USB/Serial interface I have 2 Jumpers and according to the documentation they both refer to VCC/VCC_USB settings.

Putty has been set to 19200 8N1 with no flow control. I haven't changed this since I initially set the serial connection profile.

Hi,
pleas don't play with jumper settings unless you know the exact function.

If you set VCC_USB the adapter will send 5V from USB to the target hardware.

Tx of the adapter must be connected to Rx of the NAS and vice versa.
This should be stated in all of the guides...
